West of Whistler, tour the twisting trails and open backcountry of the Callaghan Valley. The area is perfect for all levels of riders and offers wide, easy trails, spectacular scenery, and open play areas.
Sicamous, east of Kamloops, is one of the best sledding areas in Western Canada. Groomed forest service roads allow access to four different alpine areas, each of which is home to deep snow and a chalet for when you need to warm up.
The Kootenay Rockies region attracts riders from across North America. Revelstoke is a renowned winter recreation destination, and Golden offers high-alpine terrain and plenty of challenging rides. Near Fernie, trails are groomed and maintained throughout the Elk Valley.
Further north, the snowmobiling club in Valemount maintains a network of trails in and around the Rocky Mountains, and Mackenzie is a snowmobile-friendly community that offers easily accessible trails into the backcountry.
