Canada’s newest ski resort has the longest lift-served vertical in North America. Revelstoke is the only resort on the continent to offer lift skiing, heli-skiing, cat-skiing and backcountry skiing from one village base.
There’s a lot to ski at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Fifty-six runs, with more than 45% intermediate, include one 15.2 km (9.5 mi) cruiser called the Last Spike. And North America’s longest lift-served vertical boasts 1,713 m (5,620 ft) of thrills.
And there’s more. Revelstoke has another half-million acres of heli-skiing terrain, as well as cat-skiing in three exclusive alpine bowls, and access to unlimited backcountry skiing -- all accessed from the same village base. On top of that, Freeskier magazine put the resort in the “Top 5 Best Powder” in 2011. So you can expect the kind of snow that makes your trip more than worthwhile.
Plus, you can bring the kids: a beginner’s slope, tube park and kids activity centre were recently developed at the resort.
As for the après, slopeside options include a wine bar, trendy eating establishments and luxurious ski-in/ski-out lodging at The Sutton Place Hotel. More accommodations, restaurants and shops are just minutes away in the easy-going ski town of Revelstoke.
