Enjoy great powder and small town hospitality at BC’s original ski resort. The birthplace of skiing in Western Canada, Red has some of the best trees, steeps and powder in the country.

With two mountains, legendary glade skiing, steep chutes, powder-filled bowls and long verticals, Red is a skiers’ and boarders’ mountain with a friendly laidback vibe.

Powder hounds have hit these slopes for over a century and Red has produced more Olympic champions than any other ski area in North America. Cut fresh tracks in a newly opened 405 ha (1,000 ac) sidecountry area, accessible by snowcat. And with Ski Canada Magazine giving them “Most Consistent Fall-line Steeps” in 2010, you can bet the great skiing never lets up.

Check out Rafters for a post-slope pint and nostalgic ski history, or head to nearby Rossland, a charming 19th century mining town and one of BC’s top outdoor destinations.
