Apex is a hidden gem with a friendly vibe and some of the best powder around. This low-key south Okanagan treasure gets 600 cm (236 in) of champagne powder a year.

Beginners, experts, and boarders will all find what they’re looking for here. Long cruisers, bowls, chutes, glades, and two terrain parks make this Okanagan resort one of BC’s best kept secrets.

The vibe here is sporty, laid back and fun, with loads to do in and around the Western-style ski-in, ski-out village. And they were awarded “Best Weather” from Ski Canada Magazine in 2011, so you can expect lots of bluebird days.

Try tubing, adventure night skating or pick-up hockey on an NHL-sized outdoor rink, then stop for a micro-brew at the legendary Gunbarrel Saloon.
